Manual move of roaming profile

  1. Login on a Windows PC with the profile you wanna move
  2. Logoff the user from the PC and login with a user with Admin role, like the Administrator
  3. Open System properties (Right Click on My Computer)
  4. Go to the Advanced Tab
  5. Click on User Profiles -> Settings
  6. Choose the User Profile you wish to copy
    1. If Copy To is not offered, you might need to restart the PC, then directly login as Administrator and retry
  7. Set the target (i.e. \\servername\profiles\username)
  8. Select Permitted to use to the use
  9. Select OK to copy the profile
